mark & leòn: branding to establish the new way of cashmere
I skipped last weeks feed friday because it was my birthday. i allowed myself to take some days off. This week i find myself having troubles to write about one specific topic because i have so much on my mind. So many clients, so many different projects, the construction site of our new flat and the list goes on and on.
So i decided i am write about on project i am working on RIGHT at this very moment even though it might become a little teaser. Writing this (thursday afternoon 2016 09 01), i am sitting in the train back from munich where i visited the FABRIC START MUNICH together with one of the founders of mark & leòn - a cashmere fashion brand i am working on right now. Two guys who are in love with a amazing fiber decided that it is time to reinvent the classic fashion that comes with cashmere and give it a more modern twist.
Both italian, the founders just connected the dots by realizing, that they were growing up in a village where the best knitting craftsmen and companies in europe are based. Knowing that one of the finest cashmere is also dyed and spun in italy, they brought together great entrepreneurial spirit and the producers and connections they needed to establish a strong brand with long lasting products.
So together (with an amazing team having my back) we set out to do the brands positioning, the corporate design and i did my best on consulting them when it came to style and fit. They teamed up with my dear friend theresa anna erlach who is an amazing austrian fashion designer. All of hem putting great effort into detail we met in munich to chose the best producers for everything that comes with a branded garment. So today i was allowed to choose from paper tag to pullover label today.
The next coming months we will shoot and design the first look book with an amazing photographer in milano and by the end of the year the website will go online. All this to be in shop winter 2017. So like i said - a little teaser. And even if i can’t reveal much yet i can show you some little insights into the branding. Stay tuned for some amazing cashmere pieces that are not only beautifully designed and executed but will also be accessible for people with a „normal sized purse“.
